It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Nick Rice, AFI Chief Operation Officer, to Chairman of the Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA Australia) WA Committee, commencing May 2023.
Having worked in the fire protection industry since 2007, Nick’s wealth of experience and dedication to excellence will serve him well in this role. His management skills and leadership qualities combined with his technical knowledge and business proficiency make him the ideal appointee.
Nick looks forward to joining FPA Australia and utilising his strengths and expertise to make a difference in the industry. He is a true advocate for improving workplace and community safety, stating that he is driven to mitigate fire and environmental risk “because our efforts contribute to saving lives”.
Nick is motivated to support FPA Australia in its endeavours to educate and inform the fire protection sector on how to effectively protect people, property and the environment against fire. He adds that working with the national peak body for fire safety means so much to him personally because he knows that “the work we do matters”.
This is a significant moment for AFI as it highlights our experience and industry-leading capabilities as well as our promise to provide the industry’s best defence against the threat of fire. We know that Nick will represent us well, using his eye for innovative new technologies and exemplary leadership to pioneer change for fire safety in Australia.
